![]() You can download the DX11 patch for Crysis 2 here, it is 545.9 MB in size so shouldn’t take too long to grab, once installed you should see more realistic shadows (thanks to variable penumbra), displacement Mapping and also DX11 brings improved tessellation support (you can find out why this is so important here). Things are a little unclear at the moment, however it looks like you will need patch 1.9 installed beforehand to ensure that Crysis 2 is ready for DX11 Ultra Upgrade, patch 1.9 is an automatic download which starts when you launch Crysis 2, this suggests that you will have to start up Crysis 2 before installing these patches.
